I recently chose to switch from Windows to Chrome OS. I purchased the Samsung Chromebook Pro back in May of 2017. I liked it quite a bit, however I was not impressed with the keyboard. I decided to upgrade to the Pixelbook, even though it took some convincing on my part because the $1,000 price tag seemed extremely high. I have to be honest, I have not regretted the purchase for even one second. This is, by far, the greatest laptop I have ever owned. The design is flawless, the silicone palm rests are a fantastic detail, and there is nothing you can throw at this machine that will slow it down. It is a productivity monster. Within 15 to 20 seconds of turning the laptop on, I am online and working. There is no slow boot up, no annoying updates, and no expensive antivirus program necessary. Plus, productivity software comes free. No need to purchase a separate program like Microsoft Office Student or anything. Google Docs, Sheets and Slides come free with my Google account and provide everything I need…Read More

So far I’ve been enjoying using the Pixelbook, and there’s no doubt this is the best Chromebook on the market. I’ve been using Chromebooks for years and also have the Acer R13, Asus c302ca and a few others, so I have a good idea what I am comparing it to. This is definitely the smallest, lightest and fastest of the three. The keyboard has a great feel, however one of the reasons for the 4 star review is that, though the keyboard is backlit, it isn’t bright enough. I found myself really struggling in the middle of the day, trying to see which keys I was pressing. Initially it didn’t light up so I called Google for help and their customer support was prompt and courteous. It seems that holding down the alt-key and the screen backlight buttons adjust the keyboard lighting. Although I set it to maximum brightness, in the middle of the day this was definitely a problem….Read More

  1. Hey there! I know this is somewhat off-topic however I had to ask. Does running a well-established blog such as yours require a large amount of work? I am brand new to blogging however I do write in my diary on a daily basis. I’d like to start a blog so I can share my experience and views online. Please let me know if you have any kind of recommendations or tips for new aspiring blog owners. Thankyou!

  2. This reminds me of the time that Joe Montana did a radio appearance on the Jim Rome ShowMontana offered a bizarre out-of-the-blue warning to “watch out for black guys”Outrage of course ensued with people accusing Montana of blatant racismUpon clarification it was learned that Montana was simply warning winter drivers to “watch out for black ice.”People need to ease up. Yes, there’s still racism, but slowly but surely it will die out. One day we may even have a black President. 😉
